Tour overview
The 8-day Morocco tour from Tangier takes you through the imperial cities and the desert, including Fez, the Atlas Mountains, and the Merzouga Desert with a camel trekking experience. The tour also includes a visit to the fossil workshops in Erfoud, the kasbahs of Ouarzazate and its film studios, as well as major tourist attractions in Marrakech, with a guided city tour.

Day 1
Tangier – Tetouan – Chaouen
We’ll Pick you up at the port or airport of Tangier, followed by departure to Tetouan. After that, we’ll visit the city of Chefchaouen, where we’ll stroll through its blue-and-white streets and traditional houses. The day will include a panoramic visit, dinner, and overnight accommodation.
Day 2
Chaouen – Roman Ruins – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, we’ll depart for Fez, traveling along the edge of the Rif forest. On the way, we’ll visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. We’ll then continue to Meknes to explore its palace and some of its iconic landmarks, such as the famous Bab Mansour gate, Dar El Makhzen, and the Granon.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the historical sites of the Medina, including Bab el Mansour and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later, we’ll head to Fez, where dinner and overnight accommodation await.
Day 3
Fez (Guided Tour)
At 8:00 am, after breakfast, we’ll begin our guided tour of the medina. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, the Medina of Fez is one of the largest walled cities in the world.
Founded in 790 AD, it offers a fascinating labyrinth of narrow streets lined with shops selling fresh fruit, aromatic spices, Berber carpets, and a wide array of Moroccan handicrafts.
We’ll visit the Royal Palace, the tanneries, the pottery workshops, and also the oldest university in the world—established even before Oxford and the Sorbonne.
Lunch will be in the heart of the medina, at a traditional Moroccan restaurant. Afterward, we’ll continue exploring the Medina and return to your hotel around 4:00 pm.
Day 4
Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we’ll head toward the Middle Atlas region. Our first stop will be Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and clean mountain air.
We’ll then pass through Azrou and the nearby rock formation known as “La Roca,” located near a traditional Berber village. Here, we may spot wild monkeys and enjoy lunch in a peaceful natural setting.
In the afternoon, we’ll continue our journey to Midelt via the Tizi Talghemt mountain pass, situated at an altitude of 1,907 meters.
We’ll arrive in Errachidia and continue through the Tafilalet region toward the palm grove of Erfoud, on the way to the Merzouga desert.
There, we’ll ride camels that will take us deep into the heart of the desert. Dinner and overnight stay will be in traditional Berber tents under the stars.
Day 5
Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Valley of the Roses – Skara palm grove – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we’ll depart for the palm groves of Rissani and Jarf, located on the banks of the Oued Ziz, then visit the Ksar of Touroug before passing through Tinejdad to arrive at the Todra Gorges.
After lunch, we’ll take a walk in the area and then continue to the Valley of the Roses, finally reaching Ouarzazate where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, the former residence of the Pasha of Marrakech.
Day 6
Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Tahonet – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will travel to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,206 meters), stopping to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then we will continue the route to Marrakech, passing through the Tichka Pass again and visiting the Palace of Pasha Glaoui. We will arrive in Marrakech in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7
Marrakech
The day begins with a visit to the city of Marrakech, including Jemaa El Fna Square, where snake charmers, musicians, storytellers, and performers gather. We will also explore the Medersa Ben Youssef, the Mechouar, the Dar Museum, the Museum of Si Said, the Agdal Gardens, the Saadian Tombs, and the Badi and Bahia Palaces. The afternoon will be free for your own activities. To conclude the experience, we’ll enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay.
Day 8
Marrakech
The day includes breakfast, some free time, and then transfer to the airport according to your flight schedule, marking the end of our services. If the itinerary we offer does not match your preferences, we will be happy to prepare a tailor-made trip for you.
