Day 1

Arrival to Casablanca

We start the tour with a pick-up from the airport, port, or your accommodation in Casablanca. The city is considered the economic center and the largest city in Morocco. First, we will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco.

It is located on a promontory along the west coast of the city, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. You will have free time for lunch. Afterwards, we will explore the city and visit the amazing Corniche of Casablanca. You’ll spend the night at a Riad/hotel.

Day 2

Casablanca – Rabat the capital – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we will drive along the coastline to Rabat, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and the current capital. Next, you will visit the city’s highlights, including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya.

There will be free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we head north through Ouazzane to reach the Blue City of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. This city is famous for its buildings and alleyways painted in white and blue. “Finally, we stay overnight at a Riad/hotel.

Day 3

Chefchaouen – The Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

We begin our day with breakfast, then feel free to wander through the beautiful alleyways of the Blue City, Chefchaouen. Afterwards, we drive to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. These ruins are well preserved and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They feature many beautiful mosaics scattered throughout, along with ancient pillars and archways.

After strolling through the ruins, we will drive 30 km to visit the city of Meknes. Known as the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco’s imperial cities, Meknes offers several remarkable sites. Later, we will visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Afterward, we head to Fes, where you will enjoy an overnight stay in a charming Riad that reflects the traditional Moroccan style.

Day 4

Guided tour sightseeing Fez

After breakfast, we will be exploring the Highlights of the city with a local guide. Fez is considered one of the imperial cities, besides being the cultural and religious center of Morocco.

Firstly, we start the day by visiting the Royal Palace gate. Then, we will explore the well-preserved medieval Medina, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also see the Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, the main entrance to the old Medina.

You will enter the Medina to visit The Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries. And finally the Quaraouin mosque and university, the oldest university in the world. After that we leave the Medina to visit the Jewish quarter also known as “the Mellah”.

In the afternoon, we will drive to an ancient fortress to enjoy panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fez. After taking in the stunning scenery, we will return to your Riad, where you can relax and unwind after a day full of emotions.

Day 5

Fez – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara

Following breakfast, we drive south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane. The city is famous for its low temperatures, snowfall, and alpine-style architecture—no wonder it is called the Switzerland of Morocco.

Then we continue to cedars forest, where the Barbary macaques live. Feel free to feed them, while wandering in the forest. Later, we continue to Midelt, where we will have a free time for lunch.

Then we drive to Merzouga through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz valley. Stops will be made along the way for panoramic views.

In the afternoon, we reach the Sahara desert near Merzouga. Then you will switch to camels and cross the sandy desert. You will make a stop on top of a high dune to enjoy the sunset. Finally, you continue to the desert camp.

The camp is a combination between the traditional tents of nomads, and the luxury a hotel has. Where you can enjoy the Berber drums music, while dancing around the campfire, under vast open sky of stars. Here you’ll have your dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake up early in the morning to contemplate the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. After that, you will have free time for breakfast, then you return on camels to Merzouga where the driver awaits. We leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a major trading center in the region, with a large souk lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

After a stroll in Rissani Souk, we will continue to Erfoud, where we will visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble. Then we will drive through the Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges. The course of the Todra river has carved out a grand canyon through the mountains, forming high red cliff-sided walls.

These gorges are an ideal place for rock climbers. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape. There will be free time for lunch in a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades Valley, through Boumalne Dades. Inevitable stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation and at a spot atop a mountain overlooking the Dades Valley. Finally, dinner and overnight in a Rias/hotel.

Day 7

: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah- Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, we continue our journey to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose Valley. Every May, a Rose Festival is held, where locals showcase a variety of rose-based products — from perfumes and rose water to oils and cosmetics.

We will then drive through the palm groves of Skoura. Later, we will reach Ouarzazate, also known as the gateway to the desert. We will visit the studios where famous movies were filmed.”

We will depart to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, etc., and in TV series such as Game of Thrones. Then we will continue to Marrakech.

Driving through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, and also the spectacular the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch, and to take pictures at interesting spots. Finally, we reach Marrakech, overnight stay in a Riad.

Day 8

Marrakech – Casablanca

On the last day, we will drive north to Casablanca airport, making stops for panoramic views. Then we will transfer you to the airport, and that will be the end of the 8-day Morocco tour. We hope to see you soon on another tour.
