Suas medras também são de grande prestígio, como a Bou Inania, e as praças da medina são o lar de elementos de grande história e beleza, como a Praça Nejjarine e a fonte do mesmo nome. Seus bairros mantêm um encanto especial, em grande parte porque mantêm atividades tradicionais, como o famoso curtume Chouwara. O Mellah ou bairro judeu não decepciona aqueles que vêm visitá-lo, e o mesmo vale para os portões dourados do Palácio Real.

Estas visitas podem ser prolongadas durante a tarde, que é gratuita. Esta hora do dia também pode ser usada para compras nas lojas de artesanato locais, que estão entre as mais valorizadas do país. E, à noite, o Ripa vai recebê-lo de volta para um merecido descanso.

Dia 4: Fez – Ifrane – Monkey Forest – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert Dunes

O nosso circuito «Maravilhas de Marrocos» em 10 dias leva-nos finalmente, neste quarto dia, ao Deserto do Saara. Mas até que esse momento chegue, o caminho nos trará muitas outras surpresas. Os primeiros estão nas montanhas do Atlas Médio. Por exemplo, Ifrane, uma pequena cidade chamada «Suíça Marroquina» pelos seus edifícios originais, que nos recordam a abundante neve que cai aqui no Inverno.

Entre Ifrane e Azrou estende-se o Parque Nacional do Cedro, popularmente conhecido como a Floresta do Macaco: esta reserva natural é o habitat perfeito para os macacos Barbary, uma espécie de primata em extinção que ainda mantém uma população muito grande neste local.

Quando passarmos a barreira natural do Atlas do Meio, a nossa rota atravessará o Vale do Ziz até entrarmos no terreno desértico. Passaremos por Erfoud, conhecida mundialmente pela importância dos seus fósseis, alguns deles de grandes dinossauros, e também pela sua prestigiada produção de mármore. E logo depois chegaremos a Merzouga, a cidade que dá nome a uma das mais belas e únicas porções do Deserto do Saara.

Em Merzouga faremos uma transferência original: deixaremos nosso veículo moderno para entrar nos dromedários tradicionais (substituíveis por 4×4), usados pelos nômades do deserto desde os tempos antigos. Na verdade, representam uma forma imbatível de atravessar as dunas douradas de areia fina de Erg Chebbi. Desta forma, chegaremos ao acampamento das tendas, onde seremos recebidos com um chá berbere e onde será servido o jantar. Como veremos, estas tendas são a acomodação ideal para descansar no meio do deserto e, sobretudo, para desfrutar de um céu cintilante com estrelas.

Dia 5: Deserto de Merzouga – aldeia nómada negra – Dunas do Deserto de Merzouga

Uma das grandes vantagens desta viagem de 10 dias a Marrocos é que podemos dedicar dois dias à exploração do deserto de Merzouga. Portanto, após o pequeno-almoço nas tendas e um refrescante banho (no acampamento ou num hotel em Merzouga, dependendo do pacote contratado), mudar-nos-emos para Khamila.

Nesta pequena aldeia vamos conhecer em primeira mão os seus habitantes, na sua maioria negros porque são descendentes de antigos escravos do Sudão. O seu modo de vida é baseado na arte e na música e teremos a oportunidade de desfrutar de uma performance ‘gnawa’, o género de percussão que os distingue e que tem um forte ritmo subsaariano. A sua singularidade e valor foram reconhecidos pela UNESCO, com a declaração de Património Intangível da Humanidade.

Depois desta experiência cultural e etnográfica, será a vez da aventura e da adrenalina, pois viajaremos por 4×4 numa pista muito utilizada durante o Paris-Dakar. No itinerário passaremos pelas minas de Khol e pelos restos de uma aldeia berbere e francesa. E encontraremos o lugar ideal para desfrutar de vistas panorâmicas deslumbrantes do mar de areia que formam as dunas de Erg Chebbi. Além disso, faremos contato com um grupo de nômades do deserto no processo de sedentarismo, mas ainda retemos grande parte de seus costumes ancestrais.

Depois do chá com eles, voltaremos para Merzouga, onde o hotel servirá o jantar e descansará durante a noite.

Dia 6: Deserto de Merzouga – Rissani – Gargantas de Todra – Vale do Dades – Ouarzazate.

Como no dia anterior, neste sexto dia você terá a oportunidade de acordar em um ambiente único, onde as luzes do amanhecer adquirem cores inimagináveis em qualquer lugar. Neste ambiente você vai desfrutar do café da manhã e, pouco tempo depois, vamos levar nossos camelos para retornar a Merzouga. Novamente, haverá tempo para um bom banho (no acampamento ou em um hotel, como combinado).

A estrada nos levará de volta à nossa rota e nos levará primeiro a Rissani: esta pequena cidade deserta surpreende com sua medina histórica, seu mercado tradicional e seu estacionamento para burros. Depois deles, iremos para o Vale do Dades e nos seus arredores descobriremos paisagens de enorme valor, como as Gargantas de Todra: este desfiladeiro rochoso tem paredes naturais de cerca de 200 metros, esculpidas pela erosão.

Depois disso, entraremos na Rota dos Mil Kasbahs e no Vale das Rosas, onde palmeiras e antigas fortalezas berberes coexistem em perfeita harmonia. Precisamente, no final do dia teremos tempo para visitar um: o Kasbah de Taourirt, nos arredores da cidade de Ouarzazate: é um kasbah que serviu como residência para o ‘Pasha’ de Marrakech no passado e ainda conserva grande parte da sua construção original e elementos decorativos.

Além disso, se o horário permitir, podemos planejar uma visita aos estúdios cinematográficos: Ouarzazate é conhecido como a «Hollywood marroquina» porque nestas instalações foram filmados verdadeiros blockbusters, como Lawrence da Arábia ou Gladiator. O alojamento para este dia será num hotel em Ouarzazate, onde também será servido o jantar.

Dia 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – Marrakech

No hotel em Ouarzazate você tomará o café da manhã e depois iremos à primeira visita do dia: o ksar de Ait Ben Haddou. Localizada a pouco mais de 20 km da cidade, é uma vila fortificada construída pelos berberes do deserto há séculos. Sua arquitetura de adobe é impressionante, assim como seu interior humilde onde as famílias ainda vivem. Pela sua singularidade, este ksar foi declarado Património Mundial pela Unesco e é regularmente escolhido para as filmagens de séries e filmes, como o Jogo dos Tronos.

Depois de admirar por dentro e por fora esta construção única, retomaremos o nosso percurso por estrada em direcção a Marraquexe. Mas no caminho, vamos parar para visitar outro kasbah interessante: Telouet. Aninhado nas montanhas do Alto Atlas, o seu aspecto exterior mostra a sua longa história, mas no seu interior preserva espaços de extraordinária beleza e exotismo, com pátios e salas de decoração refinada à base de azulejos locais em pavimentos e paredes, e tectos em caixotões de madeira. Como o Kasbah de Taourirt, serviu de residência para a família El Glaoui, a dos ‘Pasha’ de Marrakech e Senhor do Atlas. Portanto, você vai notar semelhanças e afinidades entre as duas fortalezas residenciais.

Depois de visitar o Kasbah, continuaremos a nossa subida pelo Alto Atlas até atravessarmos a passagem de Tizi n’Tichka: aqui e nos seguintes quilómetros de descida desfrutará de belas vistas sobre esta cordilheira marroquina, a mais alta do país. E vamos passar por aldeias pitorescas, que também merecem uma foto no caminho.

À tarde chegaremos a Marrakech, conhecida como Cidade Vermelha, com dois sítios protegidos sob a designação de Património Mundial da UNESCO: a histórica medina e a Praça Jemaa el-Fna. Portanto, dedicaremos o tempo necessário para a sua descoberta no dia seguinte, enquanto neste momento você estará livre para um primeiro contato com a cidade. E, no final do dia, passarás a noite num ambiente encantador.

Dia 8: Marraquexe

Com o café da manhã no riad você começará este dia e lhe dará forças para visitar um dos lugares mais atraentes desta excursão de Marrocos em 10 dias: Marraquexe. Considered Imperial City for its past as the capital of the kingdom, it has spectacular monuments and charming corners. Por isso, o nosso guia oficial será responsável por acompanhá-lo e explicar-lhe todos os detalhes durante uma visita guiada pela manhã.

Esta rota pode incluir uma grande variedade de lugares de grande interesse: a Mesquita de Kutubia (exterior), os túmulos saadianos, o Ben Youssef Medersa, o Palácio da Bahia ou o Palácio El Badi. Você também vai visitar bairros populosos que transpiram costumes, com souks de artesãos.

A tarde, que será gratuita, pode ser passada a fazer compras nestes estabelecimentos, ou pode visitar outros locais de interesse que lhe darão um conhecimento mais profundo da cidade. Os Jardins Majorelle ou o Museu de Marrakech são algumas propostas interessantes. E depois de um dia tão intenso, você vai voltar para passar a noite em um ambiente histórico.

Dia 9: Marraquexe – Essaouira

O circuito «Maravilhas de Marrocos», em 10 dias, já nos terá dado muitas surpresas até lá, mas acrescentaremos mais uma: o mar. Portanto, neste nono dia iremos para a cidade costeira de Essaouira, banhada pelo Oceano Atlântico. Chegaremos lá pela manhã, após o café da manhã no riad em Marrakech e um percurso rodoviário de cerca de 190 km. Nesta rota, a propósito, vamos atravessar imensas florestas de argan e podemos parar numa cooperativa local para saber como produzem o seu precioso óleo, mundialmente famoso.

Uma vez em Essaouira, desfrutará da sua visita à sua vontade, mas com tempo suficiente para descobrir os seus principais monumentos e recantos. Esta cidade, também declarada Património Mundial pela Unesco, foi construída no século XVI pelos portugueses, deixando uma importante marca na sua arquitectura. Isto pode ser visto na sua cidadela e nas suas paredes marítimas, que também foram escolhidas para as filmagens dos capítulos do Jogo dos Tronos.

Mas a sua medina histórica também está cheia de vida e de construções típicas de Marrocos, como os seus portões monumentais, souks e mesquitas. Outra opção para passar o dia é tomar um banho numa das suas praias ou fazer alguma actividade aquática ou costeira. Alguns dos mais populares são os passeios de dromedários e a prática de esportes como o surf e suas variantes (kite surf, windsurf).

Além disso, Essaouira é um lugar imbatível para provar a gastronomia marítima de Marrocos, uma vez que é um país onde a pesca tem um peso importante. Na verdade, muitos pescadores trabalham ao largo da costa da cidade e fornecem peixe para os restaurantes locais. E no final do dia, um merecido descanso espera por si, numa ronda na medina, que será também a última noite desta digressão de 10 dias por Marrocos.

Dia 10: Essaouira – Aeroporto de Marrakech

Após o café da manhã no riad em Essaouira, este dia será condicionado pelo horário do vôo de volta para casa. Se o programa permitir, você desfrutará de um último tempo livre em Essaouira para fazer compras ou um passeio de despedida. No primeiro dia deste circuito de El tiempo entre costuras, chegaremos à cidade de Tânger. E o faremos, se possível, da mesma forma que Sira Quiroga o fez: por ferry, desde Tarifa ou Algeciras, dois portos localizados no sul de Espanha e muito utilizados para atravessar o Estreito de Gibraltar. Este foi o caso no momento em que a história é ambientada, quando Tânger foi considerada um porto livre. Isto levou à chegada de empresários e ao desenvolvimento de uma atmosfera cosmopolita que o costureiro que é o protagonista do romance conhecia… e que nós também vamos notar durante o percurso.

Neste tour de um dia por Tânger vamos descobrir muitos lugares de interesse e muitos deles aparecem no livro e especialmente na série de televisão. Por exemplo, no Kasbah da cidade conheceremos os palácios de Dar El Makhzen e Dar Chorfa: são monumentos históricos da época do Sultão Moulay Ismail, mas na série serviram para instalar a delegacia de polícia em Tetouan.

A Legação Americana, que agora é um museu importante, também fará parte do passeio: aqui Sira Quiroga e Alan Hillgarth se encontram para discutir um «negócio» importante. Também caminharemos pela praia Sidi Kacen, onde foram filmadas cenas exteriores, e pela Avenida da Espanha, hoje chamada Boulevard de Mohamed VI, onde estão localizados o porto da cidade e o Hotel Continental. Este alojamento é um dos mais famosos da cidade e nas suas espectaculares salas foram filmadas algumas das cenas da série.

O Continental não é o único hotel que você conhecerá neste circuito para El tiempo entre costuras. Outro é o Hotel El Minzah, ao lado da Plaza de Francia, que também foi frequentado por Sira Quiroga na história, especialmente sua cafeteria. Na verdade, é um dos lugares favoritos da escritora María Dueñas, como ela revelou em diferentes entrevistas, e nós o conheceremos em profundidade porque será o seu lugar de hospedagem neste dia.

Além do Continental e ‘nosso’ El Minzah, também conheceremos o Hotel Villa Josefine, onde foram filmadas cenas da série, assim como o Palácio de Muley Hafid (Palácio das Instituições Italianas), onde se encontrava a residência de Rosalinda Fox, amiga de Sira Quiroga.

E embora os lugares centrais do romance e da série sejam os principais protagonistas deste primeiro dia do circuito de El tiempo entre costuras, também aproveitaremos para visitar outros lugares turísticos cheios de encanto. Aqui está uma lista de opções que podem ser incluídas no programa:

A medina e seu pitoresco souk, um dos mais animados do norte de Marrocos.
Palácio Mendub, com seus jardins
Cafés literários e elegantes, onde se realizavam reuniões de intelectuais. Este é o caso do Café Paris e do Café Hafa.
Menção especial merece a excursão ao Cabo Espartel, localizado na periferia da cidade, onde se encontram as famosas Grutas de Hércules. Acontecerá à tarde para desfrutar desta paisagem natural no momento ideal. Na volta, jantar e pernoite no Hotel El Minzah.

Dia 2: Tânger – Tetouan

O segundo dia do nosso passeio «Time in Between Seams» leva-nos até Tetouan. Partiremos a caminho desta cidade após o pequeno-almoço no Hotel El Minzah. E entraremos em Tetouan pela estrada que uma vez atravessou a fronteira internacional dos Borg… e que Sira Quiroga atravessou de forma algo acidental, sendo forçada a ser internada no hospital por causa de uma hemorragia.

Em Tetuan acontecem eventos muito importantes na história, e muitos dos lugares onde eles ocorrem podem ser conhecidos hoje em dia. Por exemplo, o Hospital Sania Ramel Civil, onde a protagonista se recupera de suas feridas. Por outro lado, a linha ferroviária Ceuta-Tetuan, hoje fora de serviço, tinha aqui um dos seus terminais. Por esta razão, a antiga estação, agora um centro de arte moderna, serviu de cenário para a filmagem de cenas, como veremos neste dia.

Há muitas ruas e bairros que os fãs da série vão reconhecer imediatamente. Este é o caso da Rua Luneta, Porta Luneta e seus arredores. Aqui foi o primeiro alojamento de Sira Quiroga no romance, conhecido como pensão Candelária. Na área há também o Parque das Cagigas e a estação, relacionados com o contrabando de armas da série.

Perto da Puerta de la Reina está a escola de arte onde Sira Quiroga, costureira de profissão, vai em busca de desenhistas para a realização de estampas. No actual Instituto Cervantes, a protagonista monta a sua oficina de costura. E da sua varanda e telhado foram filmadas algumas das cenas mais sugestivas da série.

O bairro de Ensanche também tem espaço na série e mostra a influência espanhola no planejamento urbano da cidade. Outras avenidas, praças e ruas que os viajantes reconhecerão neste circuito através do El tiempo entre costuras são a Avenida da República (hoje denominada Mohamed V), a Plaza de José Antonio (hoje Al-Yala), o edifício Fénix, a rua Tarrafin com as suas características de treliças de madeira, a Plaza de España em El Feddan ou a Puerta del Viento (Bab Ruah).

Além disso, aproveitaremos o dia para visitar outros lugares de interesse em Tetouan, pois de fato seu centro histórico é declarado Patrimônio da Humanidade pela Unesco graças à sua beleza e singularidade. Portanto, a visita pode levá-lo através:

A mesquita de Muley Abdelkader.
A igreja da Virgem da Vitória, estilo neo-românico.
O mellah judeu, local de residência e de trabalho de uma importante comunidade judaica, onde também se encontra a sinagoga de Bengualid.
O bairro de Málaga
O alojamento deste segundo dia será o riad El Reducto: não foram filmadas cenas da série, mas está intimamente ligado à série de televisão, já que a atriz Adriana Ugarte (que interpreta Sira Quiroga) ficou aqui enquanto filmava suas cenas nesta cidade. O jantar também será servido neste hotel.

Dia 3: Tetouan – Ceuta

Depois do pequeno almoço no riad El Reducto, iremos para o ferry que o fará atravessar novamente o Estreito de Gibraltar, de volta à Península Ibérica. Desta vez vamos fazê-lo a partir da Cidade Autónoma de Ceuta. São apenas 40 quilómetros por estrada, que também têm o seu lugar na história, embora neste caso por caminho-de-ferro. Por isso, durante o passeio veremos as estações de Dar Riffien, Negrón, Miramar e Malalien, esta última de grande importância para o destino de Sira Quiroga e sua atividade como espiã.

Nosso motorista o deixará no porto de Ceuta e ali concluirá nossos serviços no circuito de El tiempo entre costuras. Mas a despedida terá uma vocação de «até breve», com o desejo de se encontrar novamente em outras turnês em Marrocos, algumas delas com um tema cinematográfico semelhante.
