The Preparation of Moroccan Tea

THE PREPARATION OF MOROCCAN TEA In Morocco, one of the usual customs is the preparation of tea, which is also served to guests as a sign of welcome and hospitality. It is usually prepared and served in front of the guests. Water is boiled and green tea is added, this first water is thrown away to wash the tea and diminish its bitter taste, then fresh mint leaves are added taking them to the bottom of the container, since if they float and remain on top, they will take a bitter taste, which the Moroccans call “burnt tea”. Mohamed VI Bridge

It is a cable-stayed bridge, the first of its kind in Morocco and the largest in Africa. It consists of two arched towers of 200 meters high, representing the gates of the cities of Rabat and Salé.
