Day 1: Arrival in Errachidia – Erfoud

Start the 5 days tour from Errachidia Meeting on arrival at Airport and transfer to Erfoud through the Ziz Valley. Overnight in a charming Kasbah in Erfoud.

Day 2: Erfoud – Rissani – Kasbahs – Merzouga

In the morning we will explore the town of Erfoud, known for its fossil craftsmanship. We will continue our journey to Rissani (the first capital of the caravan route from Morocco to Timbuktu), where we will walk through what is known as the most authentic and traditional Moroccan souk, and the largest in southern Morocco, where all kinds of handicrafts, food and animals are traded.
There we will taste the Madfona (Berber stuffed pizza) for lunch. If time permits, we will discover some kasbahs around the city. Continuing to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, incredibly beautiful extension of the undulating dunes, also known as the Merzouga Dunes. Dinner and overnight in a local Auberge (desert inn).

Day 3: Sightseeing tour of Merzouga – Nomads – Camel Trekking (desert camp)

In the morning we will visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its gnawa music; originating from the great African Sahara. We will visit some deserted mines and share a mint tea with Berber nomads in an oasis of palm trees.
We will drive through the black desert (Hamada), where the Paris-Dakar rally used to pass. We will return to the dunes of Merzouga in the afternoon, where we will ride camels to spend the night in a camp equipped with music in the middle of the Sahara. This is a great opportunity to take beautiful photos of the sunset and sunrise. At this time, we will explore the secrets of the Sahara and its unlimited horizons. Overnight in nomadic Berber tents.

Day 4 :Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

If you wake up early enough, you will be able to see the spectacular sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the shape of the shadows combine in an incredible view. The itinerary will take us to the Todra Gorges to enjoy the wonderful views of its canyons as we walk through them.
We will continue our way through Berber villages and palm groves, stopping en route for lunch at a local restaurant. We will cross the administrative city of Boumalen to reach the Dades Gorges, where our journey will end in a charming hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Dades Gorges – Valley of the Roses – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Today, after breakfast, we will drive along the Kelaa Mgouna (Valley of Roses) where roses, highly perfumed, bloom in the hedges during April and May, time to buy a bouquet of roses. Then we continue to Ouarzazate, known for its film studios, which host many international film productions and is also known as the “Hollywood of Morocco”. We follow the route along the Ounila Valley and only 40 km from the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou,
we will see the Kasbah of Telouet, an ancient caravan route from the Sahara over the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. It was the seat of power of the El Glaoui family, King Moulay Hassan gave them the political power of Morocco south of the High Atlas Mountains. The Glaoui were almost as powerful as the sultan himself. You can still visit the palace, but it is increasingly damaged and is slowly crumbling. In 2010, work was underway to restore the property. If you have the opportunity on Thursday, visit a traditional souk in the Atlas village. Lunch in the Atlas Mountains. We return to cross the Tizi-n-Tichka once again to reach Marrakech in the late afternoon / early evening. End of our services. End of the 5 days tour from Errachidia.
