Day 1 : Arrival at Casablanca

Upon arrival at Casablanca airport, we will transfer you to Rabat with the option to visit the Hassan II Mosque through a guided walking tour and lunch on the Corniche (coastal area). We will spend the night in a Riad in the old Medina (walled city).

Day 2 :Rabat – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we start the activity of this day of our trip in Morocco that begins in the political capital of Morocco Rabat. We will explore the most outstanding sites. If time permits, we will visit Chellah necropolis, Royal Palaces, (with the possibility of entering), Oudayas Kasbah, Hassan tower and tombs of the royal family. After the visit of touse sites,

we will drive to Chefchaouen via Ouazane with. We will make many stops along the way to allow you to take pictures enjoying the beautiful landscapes that offers the path and for a drink and some fresh air. Day 3 : Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Fez

After breakfast in your Riad, free morning to explore the Medina of Chefchaouen. A very beautiful and unique city with its white walls and blue doors and windows. This city was occupied by Spain and the influences of Spanish civilization and architecture are present throughout its architectural appearance. You will also have the opportunity to meet locals and walk through its amazing Medina. Lunch in Chefchaouen (optional).

Then we will drive along the Rif mountains with a short stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis (free time to walk and explore). Our journey will end in Fez. We will spend the night in a Riad in the medina of Fez.

Day 4 : Guided visit of the cultural capital of Morocco Fez

This day of our private tour in Morocco is destined to explore Fez with a local guide who will accompany you on your tour. Fez is the oldest imperial city in Morocco. Our visit will include, if time permits:

Medersa (koranic school), Attarin or Bou-Inania. Quaraouiyine Mosque( the oldest university in all the world that was founded by Fatima Al Fihria in the 9th century), Nejjarine Fountain and Museum, Bab Boujloud, the blue and green door, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II, Chouwara Tanneries and have the feeling of traveling back in time. Also, we will visit he water clock dating from the 14th century, Souks(markets), Traditional Ceramics and Merenid Tombs.

Free afternoon to relax or to enjoy the streets of the old medina. Accommodation for the night in a Riad.

Day 5 : Fez- Ifrane – Ziz valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

The morning after breakfast, We take the road direction to Merzouga wich is one of the best deserts in the world. We will pass through Ifrane (Moroccan Switzerland thanks to its houses typology). We will make a stop to enjoy this city with its completely European style.

Then we will continue our path crossing the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas where a spacy of wild monkeys live and that can often be seen. Along the way we will enjoy the contrasts of the landscapes. When arriving at Midelt wich is famous for its apple trees, we will stop for a lunch break in a local restaurant or do some shopping (vegetables and fruits) and have a picnic near the river.

After lunch, will continue our trip from Casablanca crossing the gorges of the Ziz valley with its palm groves. We will pass through many typical Berber villages to arrive to Erfoud and visit a local fossil workshop. After that we continue the path to reach the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi. An incredibly beautiful expanse of undulating dunes also known as the Dunes of Merzouga. Upon arrival at Merzouga, camel ride to access to the sahara desert camp in the middle of the dunes of Erg Chebbi. on the way you will enjoy the spectacular sunset .

We will spend this night in a berber tent under stars and the sweetness of the rythms of local music.

Day 6 : Exploring the area – Rissani – Nomad family

This journey of our trip allows you to explore the area. We will visit the village of Khamlia wich is famous for its Gnawa music native to the great African Sahara. We will visit some deserted mines and we will share a cup of mint tea with Berber nomads in an oasis of palm trees. After that we will drive through the black desert (Hamada) following the path of the DAKAR Rally.

Then we will go to Rissani where you can walk through the most authentic and traditional souk in Morocco and the largest one. In this Souk, you will find all kinds of crafts, food and animals. Market days are Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Also you have the opportunity to taste the Madfouna (Berber stuffed pizza) in a house of a local family.

Later we will drive back to Merzouga. On arrival, camel ride to access to the middle of the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi to spend this night under a nomadic tent in a well equiped sahara desert camp. This will be a great opportunity to take beautiful pictures of the magical sunsetand to explore the secrets of the Sahara and its limitless horizons.

Day 7 : Merzouga – Todra gorges– Dades gorges

You can get up early the morning to enjoy the amazing sunrise from the desert of Morocco and a delecious breakfast. Then camel ride back to the hotel in Merzouga to meet your driver. The itinerary will take us to the Todra Gorges to enjoy the wonderful views of its canyons walls walking through them. After that we will continue our way through Berber villages and palm groves. We will make a stop on the way for lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, we will cross the city of Boumalen to reach the Dades Gorges where we spend this night in a charming hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 8 : Dades gorges– Valley of roses – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast we take the road direction to the red city of Marrakech. We will ^pass through Kelaa Mgouna (Valley of Roses) known as the capital of roses in Morocco thanks to its production and also for its festival of roses organized every year bitween April and May when you can buy a bouquet of roses.

Then We will continue to Ouarzazate, known for its film studios that give it the name of Hollywood of Africa. Thouse cinema studios hosted many international film productions. We continue the path along the Ounila Valley and at just 40 kms from the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou,

we will see the Kasbah of Telouet, an ancient path of old caravans from the Sahara to Marrakech. It was the seat of power of the El Glaoui family, King Moulay Hassan gave them a political power in south of Morocco. The Glaoui was almost as powerful as the Sultan himself. The palace can still be visited, but it is increasingly damaged and is slowly collapsing. At 2010, work was underway to restore the property. If you have the opportunity on Thursday, you will visit a traditional souk in the Atlas village. Lunch in the hight Atlas Mountains. After lunch, we will cross the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to reach Marrakech late the afternoon or early the evening. We will spend this night of this trip in a Riad in the medina of Marrakech.

Day 9 : Visit of Marrakech with a local guide

The City Sightseeing Tour includes the following key sites, weather permitting, based on a half day or full day tour. You will visit Souks, Jewish Quarter (Mellah), Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Minaret and Gardens,Saadians tombs, Ben Youssef Koranic school (Medersa), apothecary (Berber pharmacy for spices, herbs and oils) and Majorelle Gardens with a beautiful museum of Amazigh (Berber) costumes and jewelry.
